In Sight of the Ranch House

In the early days of ranching, the ranch house was typically many miles from the store or trading post.  Supplies were carried by packhorse or buckboard.  It was a time when simple things were important.  The winter brought traditions and giving lent magic to the season.  The rancher is returning home with gifts for his family topped off with a freshly cut Christmas tree.  With the ranch house in sight, he looks forward to the excitement of his waiting family and the warmth of home on Christmas Eve.
